Good End To The Week

We've had contrasting conditions over the last couple of days - hot and sunny on Friday and overcast and cooler on Saturday - but both days produced fish and PAC beats continue to fish well:

Friday: David Russell got things going in the morning with a 14lber caught on the fly on Pitlochry bank; Martin Wilson followed up in the evening with a fish of 8lbs - again on the fly on Pitlochry bank; and downstream at Sawmill Graeme Stewart managed to winkle out a 13lber on the fly. Not bad given the conditions.

Saturday: Martin Wilson carried on where he left off on Friday with a fish of 7lbs from Pitlochry bank first thing this morning and followed this up in the afternoon with a 10lbs fish from Port-na-Craig bank - both on the fly; and down at Sawmill Gordon Nichol landed an 11lb fish on the fly this morning.

The river has dropped over the last few days but continues to fish well - definitely room for optimism for next week.
